The Role: VP Strategy

This is an opportunity to work at a thriving, mission-driven company with a global reach. In this business-critical role, you will manage our business operations with the extended responsibility as a strategic thinker and business growth mover4r for daily and long-term business functions. Your dual missions will be to ensure that our team is supported, directed and works cohesively while optimizing our company processes to improve overall efficiency and grow our bottom line. This is a job that requires a diverse set of skills, and the ideal candidate will be a systems-minded thinker with an extensive background in leadership, optimizing business operations and managing teams and complex processes. 

  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs plus business expansion
  • Engaging and liaising with investors 
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
  • Drive the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals.
  • Oversee company strategy and operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members perform while providing leadership to senior team members to optimize their capacity and capabilities.
  • Control company costs, and introducing tactical initiatives to address theft and other losses.
  • Adhere to company, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
  • Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies, and collaborate with the whole organization for the implementation of these improvements. 
  • Do quarterly key metrics, business reporting, and investor communications
  • Lead or participate actively in company fundraising as needed based on the growth of the business

The Candidate

  • Proven experience as VP of strategy or relevant role with 5+ years growing an internet company or investment banking, venture capital, big four, or consulting company.
  • Management or financial services background with an depth understanding of financial valuation and modeling
  • Have an understanding of resource planning, logistics, inventory management, and the technology used to integrate and manage processes
  • Proven track record in high-level leadership skill in leading entire business units of an organization and exhibiting the ability to lead and influence diverse cross-functional team
  • Have extensive experience working with the deployment of new technologies in stores and establishing scalable operation processes
  • Proficient in English wrapped with superior communication skills and a strong ability to prepare and communicate clear and compelling messages to senior leadership.
